Marcks, Gerhard. 1889 Berlin - 1981 Burgbrohl. Girl with jug. Design 1942. cast brass, patinated. On the base monogr. as well as on its back inscribed Guss Barth Rinteln and num. IX, 49,5 x 26,5 x 16,2 cm.- The model for the figure was Gottliebe Marcks, the daughter of the artist. The design was intended for a fountain figure. Rudloff, Gerhard Marcks, No. 409, p. 317.- Provenance: Bremen private collection.
