Flint, Fritz. 1876 - Hamburg - 1963. still life of flowers. Oil/plate, signed Flinte lower left, 71 x 55 cm, framed 92 x 74,5 cm.- Through the support of the Hamburg Kunsthall director Alfred Lichtwark, Flinte received a scholarship in 1901 that enabled him to study at the Stuttgart Academy. After graduation, he returned to Hamburg in 1905 and joined the Hamburg Secession in 1919. Flinte was influenced by French Impressionist painting, which manifested itself in his preferred group of motifs, still life.
