Frau des Kupferstechers gemalt von Graff'', furthermore faded exhibition label with number, 66,5 x 54,7 cm, minimally rubbed a. minimally retouched. framed 75,5 x 64 cm.- The painter, graphic artist and art critic Daniel Chodowiecki (1726-1801) married Jeanne (Johanna) Marie Barez (1728-1785) in 1755. Chodowiecki had a close friendship with Graff, who was one of the most sought-after portraitists of his time and who worked as a court painter at the Dresden court from 1766 onwards.
