Hagen, Max. 1862 Flensburg - 1914 Schliersee. Snowy courtyard. Oil/canvas, signed Max Hagen lower right, 74.5 x 90 cm, unframed.- From 1883 Hagen studied at the Munich Academy and was awarded the Silver Medal there in 1892. His late Impressionist works were well received at exhibitions at the Glass Palace in Munich, the Munich Secession and the Great Berlin Art Exhibition. Hagen also became known as a caricaturist for the ''Jugend'' and the ''Simplicissimus''.
