Wiegandt, Bernhard. 1851 Cologne - 1918 Bremen. Barn at the Hamme, 1906. oil/painting cardboard, lower left signed a. dated B. Wiegandt 06, 46 x 69 cm, scratches, need cleaning, framed 57,7 x 80,7 cm.- After his studies at the academies Düsseldorf and Munich Wiegandt settled in Bremen in 1890, where he gave art lessons besides his painting activities, like 1893-1895 to the young Paula (Modersohn-)Becker. He also maintained further contacts with the Worpswede artists' colony and from 1902 ran a studio in Fischerhude. His daughters Bertha and Else also became painters.
