Personal gift of the artist on the occasion of a birthday, verso on the back of the frame with 2-page humorous letter in verse by Christian Modersohn, in which he also comments on the motif: ''The view of our meadows - painted already often [...] delicate in color, early in the morning with it you forget all worries.''
