Bakenhus, Gerhard. 1860 Großenmeer - 1939 Kreyenbrück. Small moorland landscape. Oil/painting cardboard, verso on label confirmation of authenticity by Emma Bakenhus with title, also inscribed ''painted by Bakenhus W. Kempin'', 24.8 x 35.5 cm, framed 31 x 42 cm.- Bakenhus was co-founder of the Oldenburg Artists' Association and teacher of the painter Wilhelm Kempin (1885-1951). He received the Silver, 1916 the Golden Oldenburg State Medal. In 1913 he exhibited together with Max Liebermann and the Worpsweders in the Oldenburg Augusteum.
