The team of the auction house HISTORIA is pleased to present the catalog of the 137th auction. In addition to a modified cover design, there are also special features. After we were exclusively entrusted by the insolvency administration of AUCTIONATA to sell their warehousing goods and to auction objects offered by private customers for the auction through our headquarters, we can now present a comprehensive offer from former AUCTIONATA stock.
This will be a security auction, which is carried out by a state sworn auctioneer. HISTORIA's wide range of products is enhanced by new emphasis and accents.
The jewelry department can offer particularly exquisite pieces. For example, a coveted Cartier Emerald Diamond neck ring for 7000 € with the number 127, followed directly by a Platinum-framed brilliant solitaire of a legendary 6.14 carat (limit of € 40000). A further diamond ring comes with a 5 karat diamond in naval cut, accompanied by a value range of nearly € 400000 (limit 55000 €). Male collectors will get their money's worth at the Lange & Söhne Glashütte Gelbgold wristwatch with gear reserve and moon phase. 14000 € is the starting price (Lot 401) before it goes on with a small collection of nearly 30 pocket watches.
After this, the silver section will be accompanied by a collection of almost 200 balanced assortments of table silver and corpusware. For example an exquisite champagne bucket of William Eaton, London, around 1820 (Limit 3000 €, Lot 661) or the Berlin kettle on Rechaud by (probably) August Friedrich Lorenz Peters around 1840 (limit 1000 €, Lot 746). A timelessly elegant dining set for six people from Christofle is called at € 3500 (lot 799).
The lots 1000-1199 are stored goods from Auctionata, which is a separate department, but contains objects from various categories. For example, Patek Philipp, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Rolex, Cartier and Breitling watches are priced favorably. A small collection of different wines and spirits includes among others. four bottles of Chateau Latour from 1995 (lot 1074, limit 950 €) and a bottle of Springbank, The Birds 22 year Old Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, distilled in 1965, and bottled 1987 (lot 1185, limit 200 €). The bronze of a Cossack by Ivan Fedorovich Kovshenkov (1824-1898) aroused great interest in advance. It starts with a price of 5000 € in the auction (lot 1188). Equally interesting for the Russian market will be a panorama of St. Petersburg.
The large and masterly Vedute comes from unknown hand and therefore goes with moderate 2500 € into the race (lot 1313). The range of images and graphics is, however, very extensive and covers five centuries, with a focus on the contemporaries. For example, under the lot number 1984 a work by the great Greek painter Dimitris Mytars (1934-2017) is offered (limit 5000 €), followed by a multiple from the Sahara edition by Heinz Mack (* 1931) (lot 1985, limit 1500 €). 12000 € is the entry price for an acrylic painting by Penck, which shows its typical, archaic characters in bright black-yellow contrast (lot 1972). Shortly before the catalog was closed, a market-fresh watercolor by Lyonel Feininger (limit 5000 €, lot 1953) reached us. This "village in Thuringia" appeared shortly before his Moved to the USA and was probably a gift to a neighbor from his time in Berlin-Siemensstadt, where the picture had until recently been unrecognized. Furthermore, Hermann Nitsch, Asger Jorn, Salomé, Serge Poliakoff, Otto Dix and Peter Lindbergh are still a few artists who are represented in this catalog. Among the nearly 300 porcelain lots, a terrine from the service for Friedrich Ehrenreich von Ramin, which went to the governor of Berlin as a gift from Frederick the Great, is mentioned in the "box accounts" of Friedrichs (lot 2209, limit 2500 €). Four different mops and pug groups from Meissen will call the corresponding collectors to the plan. The tax starts here at 1150 € (lots 2216-2219). In this completeness is also the 15-part series "Commedia dell 'Arte" by Fürstenberg quite rare (lots 2256-2270, limit per 200 €). The glass presents itself with a small selection of nearly 60 lots, among which some French Art Nouveau vases are worth mentioning. Daum Frères are responsible for a large bar vase, which comes up with € 2000 (Lot 2800). Emile Gallé contributes five small art nouveau vases, with a price range between € 400 and € 700.
The categories watches, sculptures and collectors items offer an accustomed wide range of decorative rarities and curiosities. The end of the auction is reserved for the furniture. Apart from a wonderful classicist secretary (lot 5017, limit 3500 €), especially the nine offered, complete rooms are worth mentioning. Various variants and expressions of historicism and art nouveau are performed here in up to 14-part ensembles. The starting prices here are between 1800 € and 29000 € (lots 5083-5091). The rooms can only be visited in the Mühlenbeck Halls. The other objects as usual in the Berlin premises in Kalckreuthstraße 4-5. The auction takes place from the 1st to the 4th. November 2017.
